The "Ulaanbaatar Urban Services and Ger Areas Development Investment Program" project held a road safety training session in October 2023. The session was organized for sixth-grade students from schools No. 42, 106, and 107, as well as for parents and guardians of children from kindergartens No. 81, 111, and 272, to raise awareness of road safety. Out of a total of 429 students, 223 were female students, and 199 were female participants out of 275 parent representatives.
During the training, the facilitator provided knowledge of 13 rules that every child must know such as “Stop, Look, Then go”, “don't take your hand out of a moving car”, “ rules of riding a bicycle”, “ dangers and risks that can be encountered every day on the road and how to prevent them. As a parent or guardian, it is essential to receive training on traffic rules that apply to all adults who participate in road traffic. This training includes guidelines for vehicle drivers, passengers, and pedestrians, as well as common traffic accidents that occur in real-life situations, and ways to prevent them. Moreover, the training conducted knowledge on how to ensure safety while participating in road traffic during the construction work.
